Responsible for the lifecycle of aircraft spare parts and products, including acquisition, inventory, warehousing, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and disposal of resources. Prepare and process inventory, request for quotes, repair and purchase and repair orders and dangerous goods shipments. Maintain stock inventories, complete receiving, conformance, and invoice verifications and sustain stock control to meet daily operational demands. Maintain aircraft parts records, examine orders for accuracy and handle daily inventory management and logistical functions within a computer-based operating system.
Prepare and process inventory requests for quotes, repair orders, and purchases in accordance with company policies and procedures to include obtaining necessary authorizations.
Submit requests/orders to approved suppliers and specify the most cost-effective method of shipment to meet delivery requirements.
Handle shipping and receiving of parts, inventory, and other materials; monitor the quality, cost, and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Receive materials and determine proper disposition in order to maintain accountability for company and/or client owned property.
Maintain stock level for parts, equipment, and consumables; monitor shelf life and life-limited items.
Create and file accurate shipping manifest, with proper documentation for outbound shipments.
Identify, assemble, and document hazardous cargo loads according to regulations associated with the handling of hazardous cargo.
Coordinate arrangements for acceptance and movement of spares to include interfacing with appropriate freight forwarders.
Provide assistance to other departments by providing order status and addressing special needs.
May assist in documenting and preparing load plans.
May monitor on-site fuel storage to ensure levels are maintained and all associated certifications, inspections, and licenses are current.
May monitor and document hazardous waste stream to include accumulation and disposal.
Advise department management of any issues, delays, and/or schedule interruptions.
May perform Tool Room Controller duties to ensure all tools and test equipment are accounted for at the end of each task and each shift or day.
Ensure work area is clean, safe, and orderly at all times, inclusive of work area and hangar as required.
Adhere to company policies and procedure manuals, to include, but not limited to, company safety manuals (including hazardous materials program), Repair Station Manuals (RSM), company policies and employee handbook.
Stay informed of logistics technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve logistic processes.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional societies.

Must be computer literate and possess at least an intermediate understanding of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Successfully complete all training required for job level and meet technical knowledge and proficiency standards to travel with-in twelve (12) months.
Must be able to prepare written documents such as trip reports, corrective actions, and other company reports in a clear and concise manner.
High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years of relevant and progressively responsible hands on work experience in aviation logistics OR equivalent U.S. Military training, AND
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
Complete International Air Transportation Association (IATA) certification for transportation of dangerous goods with-in twelve (12) months.
Must successfully complete a bi-annual physical.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must pass pre-employment, post-accident/incident, random, and “with probable cause” drug screening.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Position requires international travel for extended periods of time, sometimes under austere and sub-standards living conditions. While traveling, work will involve extended and irregular hours in a variety of environmental conditions including hot and cold temperatures (<23 degrees F and >90 degrees F), high elevations, dusty conditions, and stressful situations.
Must also be able to travel domestically for events, training, and symposiums.
Routinely lift 75 lbs; able to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb frequently, and lift objects above head. Pull 170lb load over 50 feet and move 1 mile carrying 35lb pack.
Expected travel requirements; 10 to 20%.
